Fresh Pepper Drop Zones Implemented to Secure Operations
The great news today is that we are still productive! Both Ecuador and Peru have taken drastic measures to decrease the COVID-19 contagion curve. Both governments have issued new regulations pertaining to both the food and export industry.
UCHU continues operating, making the adjustments necessary to ensure worker safety while satisfying customer needs.
Our supply chain is the heart of the company. In order to adjust to new regulations, we have generated a new model for the collection of raw materials, reducing in part the need for farmers to leave the security of the countryside.
This week our agriculture team implemented communal fresh pepper drop zones in strategic areas in order to ensure continuous supply to comply with local and export shipments.
